"The second vintage (the first '10) of this flagship wine from the best-performing vines of the vineyard, 3 weeks on skins, matured in French oak (75% new), racked by gravity using a syphon. This is an outstanding shiraz, making its mark from the first whiff of the bouquet (and colour). Black fruits, fine tannins and oak move tightly together on a choreographed dance that weaves its way across a palate which miraculously is no more than medium-bodied. To say the wine is graceful does it scant justice, as does the mention of spice and licorice coupled with black cherry fruits." 98 pts, James Halliday Wine Companion
